Collegiate Sports Management Group: Giving back through esports

Collegiate Sports Management Group (CSMG) is a college sports property group. It helps generate revenue for conferences and colleges across multiple revenue streams like marketing, media, ticketing, licensing and events.
“Our job is to find ways to help schools to find revenue and create strategies,” said Neil Malvone, EVP of Partnerships and chief esports officer for CSMG.
In 2020, CSMG created the Collegiate Esports National Championship (CENC).
“We wanted to do something no one has ever done before,” Malvone explained.
CSMG selected the Kay Yow Cancer Fund to be beneficiary of the 2021 CENC.
“It was a relatively easy decision for us to go with the Kay Yow Cancer Fund,” said Malvone. “We’re a traditional sport company, we’ve represented women’s college basketball colleges and teams for the last six years.”
CSMG recognized that the Fund has a major impact on both the local and national community.
“Giving back, sacrifice, and helping others — that fit very well inside of our mission and strategy,” explained Malvone.
