NCAA 4Kay Run

NCAA 4Kay Run

8th Annual 4Kay Run is held in honor of the late North Carolina State University head women’s basketball coach, Kay Yow.

The Women’s Final Four, the largest gathering of the women’s basketball community, provides an ideal stage for the annual 4Kay Run. Our supporters rise early on Super Saturday and make a difference in the fight against women’s cancers by participating in this fun and inspiring event. The inaugural event took place in Tampa, Florida in 2008 with Coach Yow cheering on all of her much-appreciated supporters and fans. We are very excited to return to Tampa this year and celebrate Coach Yow, the memories of her last visit there, and all we have accomplished in her honor and memory since.

Fans and families are once again invited to participate in the eighth annual 4Kay Run Presented by Northwestern Mutual. This 5K (3.1 mile) and 1-Mile run/walk is held in honor of the late NC State head women’s basketball coach Kay Yow.  Proceeds from the 4Kay Run will benefit cancer research through the Kay Yow Cancer Fund®. The Kay Yow Cancer Fund is a 501 c(3) charitable organization committed to the fight against women’s cancers by raising funds for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause. Register for the 2015 race.

Over 1,000 runners and walkers joined in the battle against women’s cancers by taking part in the 2014 4Kay Run on April 5, 2014  in downtown Nashville, TN.  Approximately $22,000 was raised for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund from that event.  Conducted each year in the host city of the Women’s Final Four, the 4Kay Run has helped raise over $260,000 since its inception in 2008.

The Kay Yow Cancer Fund has awarded a grant in each Women’s Final Four city since 2009, totaling $600,000 in women’s cancer research support.

We look forward to seeing you  in Tampa!
